Museums / Christina Stadlbauer

Museums are windows to view our world. The standpoints they suggest are reflections and propositions at the same time. Museums and their shows influence how we, as audience and as society understand and accept what is around us and how as "mankind", we position ourselves in the world.

To this day, we humans, particularly in the West, are suffering from a fundamental misunderstanding: the conscious and unconscious separation of man and nature. It is our biggest divide and a view so incised upon our thinking that most attempts at reassessing shared roles and relations vaporize. Still we have hope that in the company of daring thinkers, some undoing is possible.

In 3 audio journeys, Christina Stadlbauer speaks with Maria Ptqk, Agata Siniarska and Lesley Kadish about imagining a shift in our perspective and how to speculate on possible and impossible museums for and of the future.
